Hamza Umer (Specially Appointed Assistant Professor) delivered a guest seminar titled “Applications of Religious Nudging in Economics” at the College of Economics and Political Science, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman on Dec.16th. The seminar presented evidence on the effectiveness of religious nudging in tackling socio-economic issues, particularly within Muslim societies. Following the seminar, some faculty members at SQU expressed interest in applying religious nudges to promote energy conservation behaviors in Oman. Overall, the seminar was well received, and both faculty and students benefited from both in-depth discussion and the practical applications of religious nudging.”
