[Report] The 20th HIAS Brown Bag Seminar: Specially Appointed Professor, D.S. Prasada RAO, FASSA  (HIAS), “Asia and the World Economy: Real Incomes, Price Levels, Growth, Inequality, and Productivity over the Last Fifty Years”

On 30 October 2025, the Hitotsubashi Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS) held its 20th Brown Bag Seminar in a hybrid format, attended by 31 participants. We were honored to host Specially Appointed Professor D.S. Prasada Rao, FASSA, who delivered a compelling presentation titled:

“Asia and the World Economy: Real Incomes, Price Levels, Growth, Inequality, and Productivity over the Last Fifty Years.”

The seminar was highly engaging and well-received by all attendees.

The HIAS Brown Bag Seminar is a new seminar series hosted by Hitotsubashi Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS). The seminar series aims to promote interaction between HIAS researchers, faculty members, and students university-wide.HIAS, with its 10 research centers, will continue to function as a hub facilitating active research collaboration throughout the the University.
